Connect for Health Colorado is the only place where Coloradans can access a new kind of tax credit that can be used upfront to reduce the cost of commercial health insurance. The average tax credit received by customers during the open enrollment period was over $275 a month, which could be used upfront to reduce the cost of the monthly premium. Eligibility for tax credits and a second form of financial assistance, known as cost-sharing reductions, are based on income and other factors.

You can use our Tax Credit Estimator to see if you may be eligible for a tax credit to reduce the cost of your health insurance. Please remember that this is not an official determination of eligibility and that actual results will only be known once you finish the financial application. More information about financial assistance and the application process is available on our financial help page.
